What We Do
Since 1953 – Our History
For 70 years, the founding of Marvi fulfilled the dream of Italian immigrant Martini Renzo Giovanni. Coming from a country with a strong tradition in the ice cream industry, Giovanni envisioned a promising future for this market here. At just 25 years old, newly arrived from Italy, he began producing cones with a manual machine. At that time, he personally manufactured, sold, and delivered the products.

Over the years, the company expanded and modernized, inaugurating its industrial park and starting the process of factory automation, led by his son, Sergio Luiz Martini, in the 1980s, when he took over the business.

In the 2000s, Sergio’s sons, Daniel and Filipe Martini, after completing a long trainee period within the company, assumed leadership in 2015. Today, they are responsible for a major new modernization project. This project includes the implementation of Industry 4.0, lean manufacturing processes, certifications such as FSSC 22000, the Kosher BDK seal, SMETA ethical audit, strengthening and expanding the product mix, enlarging the industrial park, as well as developing sustainable practices, fostering a strong culture of caring for people, and building meaningful relationships that create value for society.

With innovative products that serve virtually all areas of the ice cream and dessert market, Marvi is now the largest in Latin America and among the largest in the world, with the pride of being a 100% Brazilian company. It holds the world record in the production of ice cream cones and other related products.
