What We Do
You never know when the muses are going to visit you.
They came to us one afternoon, in one of our vineyards on the outskirts of Mélida de Peñafiel, contemplating the fruit that we had worked so hard on to collect and meditating on what had happened minutes before.
The purchasing manager of a winery had visited our vineyards and, after recognizing and admiring the quality of the grapes we had, he offered us half their value.
We couldn't help but remembering our grandfather. We are the fourth generation of a family of winegrowers and he had to give up his dream tired of not having his precius product valued. Now we were at the same point, we had to choose between despising the fruit of our work and giving it a chance.
At that moment, inspired by the beauty of healthy viticulture and committed to the environment, worked in an ecological way and respecting nature to the maximum, surrounded by the underground cellars built by the hands of our great-grandparents that we are now recovering so that they can go back to life, there, at that moment, inspired by the muses and carried away by madness, MUSA DOMAINE was born.
It is a great little project of almost 5300 bottles made in a meticulous and traditional way, representing our principles and highlighting the beliefs of our ancestors. A wine that resembles the great French Burgundies, a drink of gods, a pleasure for the palate, a necessary indulgence for the soul.
